Querol és un municipi de la comarca de l'Alt Camp, que s'estén al sector nord-oriental de la comarca, al límit amb la Conca de Barberà, l'Alt Penedès i Anoia, i s'estén en la seva major part a l'esquerra del Gaià, riu que travessa el territori de nord a sud. Forma part del sector muntanyós del bloc del Gaià, format ací a la part més septentrional per contraforts de la serra de Brufaganya i al centre i sud per la plana d'Ancosa, serra que s'inicia a Montagut , al S del terme, i es continua pel terme de la Llacuna, ja d'Anoia, amb altituds de 900 m. La part de la dreta del riu és accidentada pels contraforts de la serra de Comaverd .
