De relleu complicat, amb una àmplia plataforma de calcàries cretàciques amb suaus plecs tallats per rius i barrancs, destacant el riu Montlleó al sud del poble o la Rambla Carbonera al nord. Benassal també és coneguda per les excel·lents aigües de la Font d'en Segures indicades, des de temps antics, per a curar distintes afeccions.
