Benissa és un municipi del País Valencià situat a la comarca de la Marina Alta, i és part de la mancomunitat de la Vall de Pop.
El terme municipal de Benissa té una extensió ampla que presenta una orografia heterogènia. Té uns 4 km de costa, formada majoritàriament per xicotetes cales i penya-segats. Entre les platges trobem la de les Bassetes, la Fustera, els Pinets, la Llobella, l'Advocat i el Baladrar. N'hi ha d'arena i de cudols, amb fons de roca aptes per a la pràctica del submarinisme.
