Pontevedra és un municipi i una ciutat del sud-oest de Galícia, capital de la província de Pontevedra i de la comarca homònima. És una ciutat principalment de serveis, ja que la gran majoria del teixit industrial de la zona es troba a la ciutat veïna de Vigo, que és la més poblada de la província. Té una població de 82.934 habitants repartits en una extensió de 117 km², sent el sisè municipi més poblat de Galícia.
