La Serra de Castelltallat està situada entre l'est de l'Anoia i el sud del Solsonès. La major part de la serralada pertany al municipi de Sant Mateu de Bages mentre que la part més occidental es troba dins els municipis de Pinós i la Molsosa. Al nord de la serra s'hi troba la Serra de Pinós, i al sud, la Serra de Rubió.
