L'actual servei ferroviari de rodalia de Madrid, explotat per Renfe Operadora sobre la infraestructura de ADIF, posseïx una xarxa que s'estén per la pràctica totalitat de la Comunitat de Madrid , arribant a la gran majoria de la població i interconnectant el servei amb el de Metro de Madrid en més de 20 estacions.
A la fi de 2008, la xarxa compta amb 8 línies en funcionament que discorren per 350 km de vies fèrries i amb 96 estacions en total, 1385 circulacions diàries , podent albergar un total de 880000 viatgers. La plantilla de treballadors consta d'uns 1300 empleats.
