Sant Celoni és una vila i municipi a l'extrem oriental de la comarca del Vallès Oriental, a la vall mitjana de la Tordera. La vila es configura com a la capital de la comarca natural del Baix Montseny, poblada des de molt antic. Històricament ha estat un nucli amb molta activitat, com ho mostren els seus orígens del mercat setmanal, que es remunten al 1157, o el ferrocarril, que hi arribà al 1860. Sant Celoni limita amb els municipis de Sant Feliu de Buixalleu , Riells i Viabrea , Gualba , Campins , Fogars de Montclús , Fogars de la Selva , Santa Maria de Palautordera , Tordera , Sant Iscle i Sant Cebrià de Vallalta i Vallgorguina .
