Piedrabuena és un municipi de la província de Ciudad Real a la comunitat autònoma de Castella-La Manxa.El primer fet històric que mostra l'existència de Piedrabuena data de 1187 per la Butlla del Papa Gregori VIII havent estat antany terra de passada de moltes cultures. Després de la batalla de Las Navas de Tolosa, Piedrabuena formarà part de l'Orde de Calatrava durant la reconquesta cristiana la qual cosa va significar una dura pugna entre aquesta i l'arquebisbat de Toledo per posseir aquest municipi castellà en estar limítrof amb el alfoz toledà.
