En aquest indret conflueixen dos elements essencials en la cultura andalusa: l'aigua i la flora. Forma una unitat juntament amb l'entorn on es troba,
El Palau Mayorazgo està situat al centre històric d'Arcos de la Frontera. La seva construcció es remunta al segle XVII.
L'edifici acull ara el departament municipal de cultura i els diferents espais estan dedicats a exposicions temporals o permanents.
