L'Església de Sant Francesc i Sant Eulogi pertany a les anomenades Esglésies Fernandines , ja que va ser fundada pel rei castellà Ferran III al segle XIII.
El seu nom original era Monestir de Sant Pere el Real i era administrat per l'Orde Franciscana, d'aquí el seu nom actual.
L'àmplia reconstrucció que va patir l'església al segle XVIII va canviar el seu aspecte medieval per un de barroc, i alberga una important col·lecció de pintures d'artistes cordovesos del segle XVIII.
El claustre és de dues plantes amb arcades , amb dos arcs al pis superior que coincideixen amb un al pis inferior. Els arcs són de mig punt i descansen sobre columnes amb capitells toscans. Un altre recordatori de la seva antiga funció de monestir és la presència d'una brúixola, és a dir, un espai que precedeix l'església.
