El Convent de les Monges Mercedàries Descalces es troba a la Plazuela de la Botica, entre la Basílica Menor de Santa Maria de l'Asunción i l'Església de Sant Pere.
És l'últim monestir que queda a Arcos. Va ser fundada l'any 1642 per donació d'una directora d'Arcos, la senyora Beatriz de la Calle y Natera. La capella acull els retaules barrocs més importants: una estàtua de la Mare de Déu de la Mercè i una altra del patró, sant Josep.
A l'interior també hi ha l'estàtua del patró de la ciutat, Sant Miquel, un Nen Jesús atribuït a la Roldana i un artístic bargueño, entre altres peces artístiques.
