La Quarta República és el nom donat al règim polític de França des d'octubre de 1946 fins a l'octubre de 1958.
Un primer projecte de constitució fou rebutjat per referèndum el 5 de maig de 1946. . Una nova assemblea constituent fou elegida el 2 de juny i la constitució fou definitivament adoptada per referèndum el 13 d'octubre de 1946.
