L'Acadèmia també citada com Escola d'Atenes fou una institució científica i pedagògica fundada per Plató cap a l'any 387 aC als afores d'Atenes.
Estava consagrada al déu Apol·lo i a les muses, i dedicada al conreu de les matemàtiques i la dialèctica, en oposició a l'escola retòrica d'Isòcrates d'Atenes, fundada el 391 aC.
