El Cavall de Léonard és un monument inventat per Leonardo da Vinci. Va aconseguir terminar un únic model en argila. Inspirant-se en aquest projecte es varen crear, a partir dels anys 1970, dues reproduccions.
El 1482, Ludovic Sforza duc de Milà, va proposar a Leonardo da Vinci construir la major estàtua eqüestre del món: un monument a la glòria del seu pare Francesc I Sforza, duc de 1452 a 1466 , i fundador de la casa Sforza.
