Aquesta ermita de Campelos va ser construïda a la primera meitat del segle XVIII i presenta un traçat molt equilibrat.
La cornisa, la rosassa i les volutes recorden el segle XVII, encara que la podem considerar de l'època daurada del barroc nacional o joanista. Mesura 8,10 per 5,85 metres. És propietat de la Germandat del Senyor dels Afligits .
La festa tradicional és el segon diumenge de setembre, però durant alguns anys es va celebrar el tercer diumenge d'agost per honrar els emigrants.
