L'església de la Tercera Ordre de Francisco data de 1690 i va ser construïda amb almoines dels fidels.
La façana, on ja s'aprecia clarament l' estil barroc , presenta un frontó trencat amb una creu i l' escut de San Francisco. Al nínxol central es troba una estàtua de La nostra Senyora de la Concepció.
A l'interior, el sostre és voltat de pedra, els altars estan daurats i les parets estan enrajolades amb motius hagiogràfics dibuixats per Nicolau de Freitas. El retaule major va ser dissenyat per José Calheiros de Magalhães i Andrade, metge que va treballar a l'Hospital de São Marcos però es va dedicar a l'art.
La torre està situada a la part del darrere de l'església (una solució arquitectònica típica de molts temples de Braga).
