Die Kirche des Dritten Ordens des Franziskus stammt aus dem Jahr 1690 und wurde mit Almosen der Gläubigen erbaut.
Die Fassade, an der der Barockstil deutlich erkennbar ist, weist einen gebrochenen Giebel mit einem Kreuz und dem Wappen von San Francisco auf. In der zentralen Nische befindet sich eine Statue Unserer Lieben Frau von der Empfängnis.
Im Inneren ist die Decke mit Stein gewölbt, die Altäre sind vergoldet und die Wände sind mit hagiografischen Motiven von Nicolau de Freitas gekachelt . Das Hauptaltarbild wurde von José Calheiros de Magalhães i Andrade entworfen, einem Arzt, der am Hospital de São Marcos arbeitete, sich aber der Kunst widmete.
Der Turm befindet sich an der Rückseite der Kirche (eine für viele Tempel in Braga typische architektonische Lösung).
