Walt Disney World Resort és el lloc de vacances més gran i més visitat del món, amb quatre parcs temàtics, hotels, botigues, restaurants i avingudes d'entreteniment i diversió. És propietat i és dirigit per Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, una part de The Walt Disney Company. Està situat a Lake Buena Vista i a Bay Lake, Florida, fora dels límits de la ciutat d'Orlando. Sovint el nom s'abreuja a Disney World o WDW.
L'any 1959, Walt Disney va tenir una visió per crear un parc temàtic que seria més gran i elaborat que "Disneyland". També va imaginar llocs d'hostalatge pels hostes del parc, a més d'un gran parc industrial, una terminal i un aeroport d'estil futurista. Les idees originals de Disney van sofrir alguns canvis després de la seva mort, sobretot per la seva idea del Epcot Center com una ciutat d'estil futurista. Alguns dels seus plans es van incorporar molt de temps després a la comunitat de Celebration, a Florida. Walt Disney va concentrar la seva atenció en aquest projecte tant abans com després de la seva participació en la fira mundial de Nova York del 1964, però va morir al desembre del 1966, quasi 5 anys abans que la seva visió fos per fi una realitat.
