Les Catskill Mountains són una àrea natural de l'Estat de Nova York, situades al nord de la ciutat de Nova York, i al sud d'Albany. Malgrat el seu nom, els Catskill no són muntanyes en el sentit geològic del terme, sinó més aviat un altiplà erosionat : altiplans i turons, que han sofert una erosió intensa. Les Catskill estan a més a més situades a l'oest del Riu Hudson.
Són la continuació cap a l'est, així com els cims més alts, de l'altiplà d'Allegheny. Són de vegades considerades com una part de la serralada dels Apalatxes tot i que les dues serralades no estan geològicament lligades. Les Catskills són a l'oest del Riu Hudson i travessen sis comtats: l'Otsego, Delaware, el Sullivan, el Schoharie, el Greene i l'Ulster.
