Stephansplatz er en metrostation i distriktet Innere Stadt i den østrigske hovedstad Wien. Stationet blev åbnet den 18. november 1978 som den nordlige endestation på linje U1. Navnet henviser til pladsen omkring Stephansdom ved stationens nordlige udgang. Den offentlige transport i Wien havde fra starten ikke gode forbindelser til centrum inden for Ringstraße. I det 19. århundrede var der planer om at bygge en centralstation tæt på Stephansdom, men først med ankomsten af metroen fik også området inden for Ringstraße en god forbindelse til den offentlige transport. Metrobeslutningen fra 26. januar 1968 indeholdt blandt andet U1 mellem Reumannplatz og Praterstern via Stephansplatz. Den nærmere udarbejdelse af metro-nettet, U-Bahn-Netzvarianten M fra 1970, viste den krydsende U3 med skift mellem de to linjer ved Stephansplatz.
