Wald im Pinzgau er en østerriksk kommune med 1127 indbyggere i distriktet Zell am See i delstaten Salzburg. Kommunen tilhører nationalparken Hohe Tauern.

Byens centrum i Wald im Pinzgau ligger i en højde på 885 meter over havets overflade. Da man i dag generelt betragter Salzachgeier som kilden til Salzach, udgør kommunen dalens afslutning af Salzach, fra oven for munden af Obersulzbachtal til Salzachkilden ved Salzachgeier. Mod vest grænser Wald til kommunen Gerlos i distriktet Schwaz ved Pinzgauer Höhe ved Gerlospass, samt mod nord i Kitzbüheler Alpen mod dalene Langer Grund og Kutzergrund til kommunen Hopfgarten og mod Windau til kommunen Westendorf i distriktet Kitzbühel. Kitzbüheler Alpen tilhører skiferalperne og er i de fleste tilfælde flade toppe, men i Wald viser de markante topformer.
