Sogn Kirke St. Johann am Wimberg ligger i centrum af sognet St. Johann am Wimberg i distriktet Rohrbach i Oberøstrig. Den romersk-katolske kirke, der er helliget til den hellige Johannes Døberen, tilhører dekanatet St. Johann am Wimberg i bispedømmet Linz og er fredet.
Den første historisk bekræftede omtale af St. Johann am Wimberg er en bemærkning fra år 1147 i den såkaldte kirkeindvielseskrønike fra klosteret Sankt Florian. Den 1. januar dette år fandt indvielsen af kirken sted ved biskop Reginbert af Passau. Guds hus stod under afhængighed af moderparret Niederwaldkirchen og klosteret St. Florian. I takt med modreformationen blev St. Johann i begyndelsen af det 17. århundrede udskilt som selvstændig menighed. Den oprindelige kirke eller en senere ombygning blev gotisk udvidet omkring 1510. I 1710 blev kirken barokiseret under præst Augustin Adam Prechenmacher. Den sidste omfattende totalrenovering blev afsluttet i tidlig efterår 1996.
