På hjørnet af "Sand hill" eller "Zandberg" og "Nederpolder" står et hus med en lang historie.
I begyndelsen af det 14. århundrede var det en kro, kaldet "Pelicaen". I det 16. århundrede blev det en aristokratisk bygning i flamsk renæssancestil.
I det 18. århundrede blev det antaget, at Napoleon ville komme til at bo i dette hus. Derfor fandt der mange renoveringer sted, men Napoleon Bonaparte kom aldrig.
I det 19. århundrede blev det et kloster efter en donation til et kloster.
Under renoveringerne i det 20. århundrede gik der mange ting galt. De fjernede rococo frontoner og erstattede dem med renæssancestil frontoner.
