Historien om det belgiske trækdyr er meget spændende, især for kommunen Vollezele. Det belgiske trækdyr kaldes nogle gange Belgiens levende kulturarv. Derfor har det, med rette, fået sin statue lørdag den 12. august 2000 på Oudstrijdersplein i Vollezele. Ron Deblaere fra Lichtervelde er kunstneren, der har eviggjort Brillant i bronze. Det er en gave til Vollezele fra firmaet Beaulieu fra Wielsbeke.
