Ifølge en legende skulle en træfigur være blevet fundet i en trælort fra gården 't Hof i Veylst. Dette forestillede Mara's mor: den Hellige Anna. Hun bar Maria på sin arm, som igen bar Jesus. Figur blev først placeret i nogle trækapel, men i 1639 kom der til sidst en stenkapel. Dette skulle være knyttet til pestepidemien, som mange mennesker i området blev skånet for. (og tilskrevet denne figur). Vidste du, at siden 1631 er kapel-messen blevet afholdt hver tirsdag aften.
