Under indflydelse fra præsidenten for Kirketeksten, Victor Dufays, professor i civilarkitektur ved universitetet i Leuven, begyndte arkitekterne Léon Guiannotte og André Watteyne opførelsen af Sankt Augustin Kirke i 1928.
Kirken blev bygget ved Hoogte-Honderdplein i Vorst og blev indviet i 1936.
De otte gader fra kvarteret fører alle op til kirken.
Kirken er bygget af armeret beton og er et karakteristisk eksempel på genoplivningen af religiøs arkitektur i mellemkrigstiden.
