Kermt er en delkommune af den belgiske by Hasselt. I 1971 blev Spalbeek tilføjet kommunen, og i 1977 blev både Spalbeek og Kermt delkommuner af Hasselt.
Kermt blev første gang nævnt i 1213 som Kermete. Den gamle stavemåde Kermpt blev brugt helt op i det 20. århundrede. Navnet kan være afledt af det latinske carmetum, som betyder hække.
