Vurste er en landsby i den belgiske provins Oost-Vlaanderen og en delkommune af Gavere. Det har et areal på 4,49 km² og havde pr. 31. december 2013 1.037 indbyggere. I 1110 blev Vurste første gang nævnt, og det blev kaldt Vorste, hvilket skulle stamme fra latin: Forestum. I 1284 blev ejendomme i Vurste givet til den gentiske Sint-Pietersabdij. Forvaltningsmæssigt tilhørte det Land van Aalst og til baanderiet af Gavere.
