Haaltert er en by og kommune i den belgiske provins Oost-Vlaanderen. Kommunen har over 18.000 indbyggere. Den nuværende kommune Haaltert blev dannet i 1977 ved sammenlægning af de daværende kommuner Haaltert, Denderhoutem, Heldergem og Kerksken. Også halvdelen af landsbyen Terjoden fra den dengang opløste kommune Erembodegem blev tilføjet den nye kommune. Stedet ligger i Denderregionen.
