Victor Hugo-søjlen er et mindesmærke beliggende på kanten af slagmarken ved Waterloo, opført i 1911-1912 i anledning af 50-årsdagen for den franske digter og forfatter Victor Hugos ophold i Waterloo, Belgien. Det tog Victor Hugo femogfyrre år at besøge stedet for slaget. Under sit ophold i Bruxelles i 1837 skrev han: "Jeg ønskede ikke at se Waterloo. Jeg synes, det var unødvendigt at besøge Lord Wellington. Waterloo er mere afskyeligt for mig end Crécy. De berømte linjer Waterloo, sørgelige sletter i digtet Den Forladte blev skrevet i Jersey mellem 1852 og 1855, da Hugo endnu ikke havde besøgt Waterloo. Hugo ankom den 7. maj 1860 til Mont-Saint-Jean og boede der i to måneder på Hôtel des Colonnes. Der fuldførte han skrivningen af Les Misérables.
