I den yderste spids af Vestflandern, midt i 'Le Plat Pays', i hjertet af humleområdet, brygges der øl, som fanger fantasien hos mange øl-entusiaster. I digterlandsbyen Watou har man siden 1946 brygget de ædle St. Bernardus-øl: mørke og lyse klosterøl med topgæring. Bryggeriet har i de senere år haft en enorm ekspansion og er nu verdenskendt for sine autentiske og kvalitetsrige øl.
Rundvisninger kan foregå på nederlandsk, fransk eller engelsk. Et minimum på 15 personer er krævet, men mindre grupper eller individuelle besøgende kan også deltage i allerede planlagte besøg. Et guidet besøg, inklusive smagning og gavepakke, varer cirka 90 minutter og koster € 12,50 pr. person.
