Tidligere sanatorium grundlagt af provinsen Østflandern, nu såkaldt "Provincial Institute Heynsdaele", et opholdshjem og skole for drenge med adfærds- og tilpasningsvanskeligheder. Ifølge de bevarede byggeplaner fra 1922 grundlagt efter design af arkitekt M. Aubert (Gent). Indviet den 18. oktober 1924. I 1925 oprettelse af pavillon "Reine Elisabeth" for børn med tuberkulose efter design af M. Aubert fra 1924. Sanatoriet i brug indtil 1963, tomhed indtil brugen som skole i 1968.
