Meersel-Dreef har siden ca. 1900 været et kendt pilgrimsmål i Belgien og Nederland
Hvert år besøger tusindvis af troende den velkendte Mariapark "Vor Frue af Meersel-Dreef", som ligger lige overfor Klosteret og Kapucinerkirken

Mariaparken (også kaldet "Nåde dalen") blev allerede til, da det var en klosterpark, men omkring 1890 blev det en offentlig park for folkelige andagter.
