Meersel-Dreef has been a recognized pilgrimage site in Belgium and the Netherlands since around 1900. Every year, thousands of believers visit the well-known Marian park "Our Lady of Meersel-Dreef," located right across from the Monastery and the Capuchin Church.
The Marian park (also known as "Grace Valley") originated during the time it was a monastery park; however, around 1890 it became a public park for popular devotions.
