Det Andet Slag ved Neerwinden fandt sted mellem den revolutionære hær fra Frankrig under general Charles-François Dumouriez og en Østrigsk-Syd-Nederlandsk hær under kommando af Frederik Jozias af Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld og general Karl Mack von Leiberich. I Neerhespen kirke, Sankt Mauritius kirke, findes der stadig en kanonkugle i midten af kirkemuren. En mindetavle på facaden henviser til dette historiske slag.
