Øst for den brede alluvial dalbund af Molenbeek, lige forbi sammenløbet af Laarbeek og Molenbeek, finder du et gennembrudsdal. Ved kraftig regn må en hel del vand fra Molenbeek og Laarbeek strømme gennem det smallere gennembrudsdal, og her på den flade dalbund oplevede du ofte oversvømmelser og aflejringer fra bækken: alluvium. Disse alluviale jordbunde passer smukt sammen med græslandet, for det våde alluvium er for mudret til at blive dyrket som agerland, selvom det er meget frugtbare jorde.
