Det nye modtagelsescenter De Kazematten består af 5 store sale, der er restaureret og tilpasset til nutidig og polyvalent brug med stor respekt for bygningens historie. Her finder du en stilfuld brasserie, under vingerne af bryggeriet Sint-Bernardus fra Watou, hvor du kan nyde lokale øl eller en lækker bid mad.
I sal 4 og 5 er fortolkningcentret 'Ti århundreder af Ypres fæstninger' indrettet. Her kan du få et dybdegående kendskab til historien om det Ypriske fæstningslandskab med sine unikke kulturhistoriske vidnesbyrd, og den pragtfulde natur, der kunne udvikle sig så tæt på den historiske indre by.
