Kapellet blev bygget i 1600 på stedet for en eremitage.
Ifølge legenden blev den bygget over en kilde, der forsynede vandreservoiret til slottet. Denne vandbeholder eksisterer stadig og er synlig.
Kapellet ligger i en usædvanlig omgivelser, ved kanten af den gamle vej til Liège.
Det indeholdt billedet af Vor Frue af Sorger og billedet af Sankt Margaretha. Desværre blev disse billeder i december 1973 stjålet.
Sankt Margaretha blev påkaldt af gravide kvinder "for en lykkelig befrielse".
