La cappella fu costruita nel 1600 sul sito di un eremo.
Secondo la leggenda sorse sopra una sorgente che alimentava la cisterna del castello. Questa cisterna esiste ancora ed è visibile.
La cappella si trova in un ambiente eccezionale lungo la vecchia strada di Liegi.
Conteneva la statua dell'Addolorata e la statua di Santa Margherita. Purtroppo queste foto sono state rubate nel dicembre 1973.
Santa Margherita era invocata dalle donne incinte "per un parto felice".
