Kriechenwil er en kommune i Bern-Mittelland administrativt distrikt i kantonen Bern i Schweiz.
Forhistoriske spor af bosætninger i området inkluderer en neolitiske spydspids, en Hallstatt gravhøj, en tidlig middelalderlig bid og sadel samt en skjul med ukendte mønter. Det land, der nu er den moderne kommune, var en del af den middelalderlige Herrschaft af Laupen. I 1324 blev hele Herrschaft erhvervet af Bern. Landsbyen kan have eksisteret, før den blev bernisk territorium, men der er ingen optegnelser før 1353. En bro blev bygget over Sarine-floden omkring 1400 som en del af en middelalderlig handelsvej til Bern.
