Kirchenfeldbroen fører fra Casinopladsen i den gamle by over Aare til Helvetiapladsen på flodens sydbred. Her finder du mange museer. Kunsthallen, en bygning i modernismens stil, blev bygget i 1918 og er stadig et eksempel på moderne kunst. Samlingen er ikke permanent; der er altid skiftende udstillinger. Der har tidligere været retrospektive udstillinger med Paul Klee, Alberto Giacometti og Henry Moore. Programmet for kommende udstillinger kan findes hos Kunsthallen selv og ved turistbureauet i Bern.
