The Kirchenfeld Bridge carries traffic from Casinoplatz in the Old Town over the Aare River to Helvetiaplatz, on the south bank of the river. Here you will find many museums. The Kunsthalle, a building in the style of modernism, was built in 1918 and is still a showcase of modern art. The collection is not permanent; there are always changing exhibitions. In the past, there have been retrospective exhibitions of Paul Klee, Alberto Giacometti, and Henry Moore. You can find the program of upcoming exhibitions at the Kunsthalle itself and at the Bern tourist office.
