Sindelfingen er en stor by i midten af delstaten Baden-Württemberg, cirka 15 km sydvest for Stuttgart. Det er den største by i Böblingen kommune og udgør sammen med den sydlige naboby Böblingen et middelpunkt for de omkringliggende kommuner.
Sindelfingen ligger uden for den nordøstlige kant af Oberen Gäus, ved foden af nogle højder i Glemswald mellem den kilde, der udspringer i byområdet, Schwippe og Sommerhofenbach. Den højeste punkt i området ligger på 532, den laveste på 409 m over havets overflade. Byområdet strækker sig fra 425 til 460 m over havets overflade. Schönbuch kan nås på 15 minutter, den nordlige Schwarzwald kan nås fra Sindelfingen på cirka en halv time, og Schwäbische Alb kan nås på 50 minutter.
