Karstädt er en amtsfri kommune i Landkreis Prignitz i Brandenburg. Kommunens område er identisk med det Amtsområde, der eksisterede fra 1992 til 2003.
Karstädt ligger i den nordvestlige del af delstaten Brandenburg. Sydvestlige dele af kommunens område ligger inden for biosfærereservatet Flusslandschaft Elbe-Brandenburg. Inden for kommunens grænser munder Tarnitz, Karwe og andre små floder og grøfter ud i Löcknitz. Langs grænsen til Mecklenburg-Vorpommern løber Meynbach.
