Ruhland er en lille by i Landkreis Oberspreewald-Lausitz i den sydlige del af Brandenburg, vest for Hoyerswerda og øst for Elsterwerda. Den er administrationssæde for Amts Ruhland.
Byen Ruhland ligger cirka ti kilometer sydvest for Senftenberg og sydøst for Lauchhammer i Oberlausitz. Umiddelbart nord for byen begynder Niederlausitz, adskilt fra den af den sorte Elster. Gennem byen flyder Ruhlander Schwarzwasser og Ruhlander Binnengraben i den sorte Elster. Ruhland ligger i det geografiske område Königsbrück-Ruhlander Heiden.
