Vechelde er en bydel i kommunen Vechelde i Landkreis Peine i Niedersachsen. Byen er administrationssæde for den navngivne kommune.
Vechelde ligger i slettelandskabet Braunschweig-Hildesheimer Lößbörde ved den historiske hovedvej Köln-Königsberg, Bundesstraße 1. Dens tidligere forløb krydser øst for byen Aue og deler sig i byens midte i retning mod Hannover, B 65. Oprindeligt var byen en gadeby. Den centrale funktion af Hildesheimer Straße afspejles stadig i bybilledet. I løbet af sin udviklingshistorie voksede byen til dagens centrale by i kommunen med småbypræg.
