Friemersheim er en bydel i Duisburg i byområdet Rheinhausen. Bydelen har 12.123 indbyggere.
Friemersheim tilhører de ældste bosættelser i det tidligere grevskab Moers. Graver fra 6./7. århundrede i området omkring Rheingoldstraße vidner om dette. Påstande om, at Karl den Store allerede har afholdt en rigsting her, stammer fra et dokument, der i dag betragtes som en forfalskning. Det første ægte, ikke-forfalskede dokument er datert den 11. maj 898. I dette bekræfter kong Zwentibold klosteret Werden donationen af det kejserlige gods Friemersheim, som formodentlig allerede fandt sted mellem 809 og 814.
