Bad Liebenstein – indtil 1907 Liebenstein – er den navngivende og mest befolkede bydel i byen Bad Liebenstein i Wartburgkreis i Thüringen. Bydelen har en tradition som kur-, bade- og turistby. Den blev landsdækkende kendt som sommerresidens for Meininger hertugfamilien, som Thuringens ældste kurbad og som den største hjertekurby i Østtyskland i Naturpark Thüringer Wald. Med 342.000 overnatninger var byen ifølge Thuringens Statistiske Kontor i 2016 på femtepladsen blandt Thüringens turistmål. I mellemtiden er byen på grund af faldende overnatningstal røget ned på 7. pladsen.
Den 31. december 2012 fusionerede byen Bad Liebenstein med nabokommunerne Schweina og Steinbach til en ny by Bad Liebenstein med cirka 8000 indbyggere.
