Det internationale paralympiske komité er en sammenslutning af internationale handicapidrætsforbund og nationale organisationer. Det blev grundlagt den 22. september 1989 i Düsseldorf og har sit hovedsæde i Bonn. Antallet af medlemmer voksede i 2015 til over 200. Præsident for komitéen var indtil 2001 canadieren Robert Steadward. Han blev efterfulgt af Sir Philip Craven som præsident, tidligere paralympics-deltager og præsident for den internationale rullestolsbasketballforbund. Den 8. september 2017 overtog Andrew Parsons præsidentposten. Mellem IPC og IOC er der et nært samarbejde.
