EBS Universitetet for Økonomi og Ret er et privat, statsligt anerkendt universitet med lokationer i Wiesbaden og Oestrich-Winkel. Det har tre fakulteter med EBS Business School, EBS Law School og EBS Executive School.
Foregangsinstitutionen blev grundlagt i 1971 af Klaus Evard som en professionshøjskole for økonomi i Offenbach am Main under navnet European Business School. Det oprindelige koncept indeholdt en europæisk præget uddannelse af ledere med tre lokationer i Frankrig, England og Tyskland. Kendetegnende for EBS' studieprogram er stadig flere praktiske studieperioder i ind- og udland, integrerede udlandssemestre samt en skolepræget opbygning af studiet. I 1980 flyttede EBS til slotte Reichartshausen i Oestrich-Winkel i Rheingau. I 1985 kom en anden højskolebygning i Oestrich-Winkel til.
